Heather Bredy, Physical Therapist

Heather joined the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic as a physical therapy consultant upon completion of her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy Degree in 1998. She has been awarded the Certificate of Sport Therapy from the Sport Therapy Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Degree, as well as Certification in Medical Acupuncture from the University of Alberta. In 2008 she completed her Masters Of Clinical Sciences in Manipulative Therapy from the University of Western Ontario, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists.
Heather is active in the classroom and clinical teaching of students enrolled in the Masters of Science in Physical Therapy Program at the University of Alberta. She has served as a clinical mentor to a number of athletic therapy students registered in the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Alberta.
Heather has committed a good deal of her tenure to the care of the University’s Golden Bear and Panda athletes, serving as the Head Athletic Therapist for the 2002-03 playing season. She has recently taken on the role of Acting Director of Physical Therapy at the Glen Sather Clinic. Today Heather, as do all of her colleagues at the Glen Sather Clinic, continues to share her expertise with the Varsity athlete population, as well as individuals from the community who wish to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
