Dr. Robert Balyk, MD, FRCS(C)
Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Orthopaedics
Dr. Balyk graduated with his Medical Degree from the University of Manitoba in 1983. Following completion of a Residency in Orthopaedics at the University of Alberta in 1991, he continued his studies by being awarded an Othopaedic Fellowship in Trauma in Austria, and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Virginia Mason Clinic in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Balyk joined the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic as a consultant in 1994, specializing in the management of shoulder pain and dysfunction. He is recognized as a leading clinical and academic authority in the surgical management of shoulder injury in sport and the workplace.
