Janet Yoneda, MD, CCFP
Family Physician
Diploma of Sport Medicine (CASM)
Janet graduated from the U of A in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts and went on to complete a medical degree in 1976. Janet was the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic’s Sport Medicine Fellow in 1993/94 and stayed on as a permanent member of staff.
She is a member of the Canadian College of Family Physicians and received the Canadian Sports Medicine Diploma in 1994. Janet is well known by many of the U of A varsity athletes and is the team physician for the Pandas volleyball, soccer and hockey teams.
Dr. Yoneda is the primary physician for the Edmonton School of Ballet and has a special interest in the injuries associated with musicians and dancers.
In 1998 Janet traveled to Seoul, Korea as the Canadian team physician for the World Junior Hockey Championships.
